Hahaha.  I remember that book.  Used to take the kiddo to the library on Saturdays and that book was one of her favorites.  Mine, too.

Eh, if Carolina wants him back and is willing to pay, it's moot.  He never hits the open market.  I can live with that.

What I couldn't live with, is him becoming a UFA and Pittsburgh ignoring him (and the O-line situation, in general).

They still need to look to FA here.  They have to.  Have to.  Have to.  Have to.

Khalif Barnes?  He'd be a very nice upgrade, IMO.  Was going to suggest Vernon Carey, but Miami locked him up earlier today.  Other than that, you've got second/third tier guys left that are basically stopgap solutions (i.e. aging vets that could do the job for a year or two) at best.  Tra Thomas?  Runyan?  George Foster?

Doesn't look good.  Do suntin' fellas.

Unless we re-do Maxine's deal in order to trade, we are done in the OT FA market.  Oh well, that's what the draft is for.

BTW, Barnes was good but regressed, hard to tell how he'd fit here, but he's no major upgrade over Starks anyway.  Starks > Thomas & Runyan (too old, dinged) >> Foster (not worth a shit, frankly).

In all honesty, Starks is one of the better FA OTs, and that is what it is.
