Champions League is back, and now into the knockout rounds. Today, heavyweights Internazionale, and Manchester United square off at the San Siro. It should be an intense match as the Serie A leaders battle the EPL front runners and defending European champions. The match will be on ESPN 2 at 2:30pm EST. Also today, another Italian-English battle, Arsenal v Roma will be waged at the Emirates. The Gunners are desperate to make something of CL this year, as they face finishing out of the top 4 in the EPL, and would not qualify for CL football next season. They are still in the FA Cup however. ESPN Classic will show either Arsenal v Roma, or French champs Lyon v Spanish leaders Barcelona, at 5pm EST.

Tomorrow, the big matches continue, with Juventus travelling to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea. This will be the 2:30pm ESPN 2 match. Also tomorrow, Liverpool go to Spain to tackle Real Madrid, which should be the ESPN Classic late game at 5pm.

Don't miss out on some of the best soccer being played in the world. Inter v ManU is must see football.

No, you are incorrect my good Sir. 1st and 2nd automatically get into the Group Stage. 3rd and 4th go into the August qualifing rounds. 5th place receives a spot in the UEFA Cup ( Villa was 5th last year)....... Sorry about losing Cesc for so much time. He is truly world class.

Well at least you can brush up on your Spanish..... If you have DirecTV, you should think about getting Setanta. They have the Gunner's match live, and show what ESPN isn't showing live. They just added an alternate channel, so they can broadcast more EPL games. Between Setanta and FSC, you get all EPL, FA Cup, Carling Cup, and CL games. And FSC shows the big Serie A matches.

Setanta Sports is 15 bones a month.

The Liverpool v Real Madrid match will be on ESPN at 3:30pm EDT today.  ESPN Classic will show Juventus v Chelsea at 6pm EDT.

The much anticpated ManU v Internazionale tie will be on ESPN Classic, Wednesday at 3:30pm EDT. It will be followed by Barcelona v Lyon.

Sorry Penso, Roma v Arsenal will be on Setanta.  Maybe Deportes will carry it, though.

GO BLUES! The Drog is back.

In the first bracket are Villareal v Arsenal, and ManU v Porto, with the winners of each tie meeting in the semi's.

In the other bracket is Liverpool v Chelsea (again), and Barca v Bayern, with either the La Liga leaers or the German giants facing English opposition in the semi's.

The quarterfinal 1st leg starts April 7/8.

Sorry, I'm been super busy lately, and forgot to list the games. Today was ManU v Porto(was on The Duece), and Villareal v Arsenal(Setanta). In a very un-european match Porto struck 2 away goals and drew with the Red Devils at Old Trafford 2-2. Advantage Porto, going home with 2 away strikes, and even on aggregate. Arsenal also has the upper hand after drawing 1-1 in Spain.

Tomorrow, Wednesday the 8th, Liverpool v Chelsea is on ESPN 2 at 2:30 EDT, with Barca v Bayern on Setanta at the same time. This is the 5th year in a row featuring a Liverpool - Chelsea matchup. Both Gerrard and Drogba are fit and are expected to play.

Go get us an away goal Didier!!! CHELSEA!CHELSEA!CHELSEA!

Damnit.  Meant to record the ManU/Porto match, but I ended up with some match from '06.  Deleted in disgust before I even saw the participants.  Checked everywhere for a replay, but couldn't find one.

So pissed.

So pissed.

How pissed are  you?

Hey, I'll recap for ya.  A bunch of guys ran around a grassy field and kicked a ball back and forth.  Some of them fell down, but they got back up.  In the end, nobody scored.

So the semifinals are set. The  current holders ManU face off against fellow Premiership side Arsenal, and the current favorites Barcelona are matched up with last years runners up Chelsea..... Who would have thought there would have been 12 goals between Chelsea and Liverpool? That 4-4 draw on Tuesday that sent Chelsea through was amazing. Cristiano "Fancy Pants" Ronaldo scored what he termed his best goal ever at Porto, to send his ManU into the next round. Arsenal took care of business against Villareal with a easy 3-0 win in North London, and Barca easily held their 4-0 aggregate advantage against German heavyweights Bayern.

Should be a fun semifinal round, with English domination once again, but the question still remains, can anyone stop Messi?

I'm still tryin' to catch up.  That blast from 40-45 yards was frickin' sick.  Was so pulling for an upset.

Basically, I'm hopin' for anyone other than United.

On to the Semis.  The fun starts tomorrow, Tuesday, on The Duece at 2:30pm EDT with Barcelona v Chelsea from the Nou Camp. With The Blues starting left back Ashley Cole suspended for the match, it will be interesting to see who starts in the position that will be facing Messi most of the night. Should be a great match.

Then on Wednesday, same bat time, same bat channel, two English sides battle it out. ManU v Arsenal will gaurantee a spot in the final for an EPL squad. The Red Devils will be at home, and Old Trafford will be rockin'.

Get us an away goal Drogs, and bring'em back to the Bridge.

Set your DVR's to stun, tomorrow at 2:30 EDT(ESPN2) ManU travels to North London for the second leg of the semi-final with Arsenal. The Red Devils take a slim 1-0 aggregate lead with them. The Gunners need to keep a clean sheet, and find a way to put a couple past Van der Saar to advance to their first CL Final since 2006. The defending champs just need to hold on and draw to keep their dream of repeating alive.

Wednesday is Chelsea v Barcelona at the same time(ESPN2), and the tie stands at 0-0 after Chelsea held Barca at the Nou Camp. The Blaugrana will be without central defender, and Captain, Puyol. There is speculation Henry may not play due to a knock he picked up in the second half of the Blancos destruction of Real Madrid at the Bernabeu over the weekend. A scoring draw sends Barca through so The Blues need to win outright to advance to consecutive CL Finals.

Up Chelsea!

Aww, do I sense some bitterness after Arsenal was booted from the FA Cup by the Blues?............. Actually, I do wish. Barca's attack is the best in the world, and they are still the fav's to go through, so Chelsea needs all the help they can get, even at the Bridge. Messi, Eto, and Henry have combined for 95 goals this season. Simply unstoppable.

And I will be feverently rooting for Arsenal today. Down with that whiny bitch Sir Alex.
