Would it be better to create a FB MGS Group? It would pretty much just be a link to this site, but when you search Steelers, you can look at groups before joining, while you can only view profiles of confirmed 'Friends'.

There is an MGS group on FB. Jonzr set that up, I think Wednesday.

I'm a novice with facebook.  Any suggestions for driving people to the MGS group?  My plan was to invite friends of friends and hope their friends invited their friends, etc - with the idea that people would check out the group and end up over here.

Not sure. I've never joined a group on there but have had dozens of 'Friends' recommend groups. People seem to join a group, only to unsubscribe later, realizing there ain't shit going on there.

Of course, you don't need people to join, just to look and see the link.

So I'd make sure I have a some sort of Steelers related logo tied to that group, the more unique, the better.

That makes sense.  The goal isn't to have some awesome facebook group but to get people to check us out here.
