They're obviously hoping this works out for them like Bylsma for Therrien, but it reminds me alot more of Ottawa last year, sinking ship and all that.  I think Montreal can be had now.

Unlike the Bylsma/Pittsburgh situation, Gainey doesn't have the talent and the only person he can blame is himself.  They sat around at the deadline and did absolutely nothing to help the team, so they fire Guy. 

If anything, it's the Therrien/Pittsburgh situation.  GM fucks up, coach takes the fall and is the scapegoat.

Not to mention totally fucking up last year's trade deadline and putting all their oeufs in Carey Price.

Yeah, this is the second year Gainey has dropped the ball during deadline time.  I have to wonder how much longer Gillett is going to put up with him.
