So I tell my 7 year old that Ben is out.
"What about that Batch guy?"
I tell him he's out too.
"So who is the QB?"
I tell him.
"I need a Dennis Dixon jersey".
So with some permanent markers and a cheap t-shirt, he'll be sporting the arts & crafts DD 'jersey' tonight.
Nice. I like the way your kid thinks, and the way you help him out.

watching NBC pre-game; did Hines really call Ben out for not playing this week? Very unusual if he did

I'm sure Costas led him that way, but yes, for all intents and purposes, Ward called him out. Maybe it's pent-up frustration from all the times Ben cried wolf with broken ties and other minor injuries. They're champion pros though - I'm sure it will be a non-issue, but if it's an issue, it will be smoothed out soon.

Hines totally called him out. Not a good sign of things to come IMO. In spite of it being a poorly timed injury in terms of this season, you have got to think long term. I get that Hines is running out of long term, but Ben is 27. Cannot have his career over in his early 30's with concussions. Bad form on Hines' part...and I think he is flat out great, but very likely flat out wrong here.

I kinda meant for tonight's game with that statement. I think Ben and Hines will be fine.

First play needs to be play action pass to a streaking Santonio or Wallace.

Now would be a good time for KO return for a TD.

Yeah, Hines defined "shortsighted" with his comments.
