New Reputation (Karma) System

The old Karma +/- thingie is out, new rep system is in.

To add to or detract from another's reputation click the little heart icon (yeah, I've gotta work on that) under the user's name (or avatar if  they have one).

Once the heart is clicked, a small dialog opens at the top of the page and you may click either "agree" or "disagree" and you may leave a comment.

Use generously, people.  You like a post, clickety-click, click, click.  The Reputation Points are 1 per "agree" and the little green bar goes up with every 10 points.  Unless we get reputation inflation and then we'll just print more money ... er, points!

The only rule is that once you rep a person, you have to rep somebody else before you can rep the first person again.

A bit more info ...

The Reputation Power goes up a point as net "agree" rises and the little green bar goes up with every 10 or so Power points.  Roughly, one agree is worth 10 or 15 points which raises Power by 1 point.

The only rules are that once you rep a person, you have to rep somebody else (or maybe two) before you can rep the first person again.  Something like 30 reps allowed per day and you must wait a couple of minutes between reps.

And you get agree points per post!  So, post away and don't worry too much about what your dirty neighbors think.

But wait, that's not all ...

When you click the little heart icon, if it appears that nothing happened then scroll up to the top of the post.  There you'll find the agree/disagree/comment box with a submit/cancel button.

That should do it.

 Also, a known bug:  if the subject of the thread contains a single quote ' then you'll get an error.  To recommend a poster in such a situation, find another thread they're on and recommend them there.
