I work in a building with an armed guard at the front desk.  THe building also has a gated parking garage.  If there was a "situation" the first call goes to Homeland Security.  The other day I saw Homeland Security for the 1st time, cruising around.  That's OK with me I guess.

There is a dude that works here driving a Toyota Corolla that puts "the club" on his steering wheel every day.  Are you freaking kidding me?Since it is a government installation, there aren't a lot of high end cars in the garage, but the Corolla is probably in the bottom quartile.

I've always depended on somebody else's car being more inviting to steal than mine.  That guy is taking it to the next level.

Besides, isn't the club easily defeated by hack sawing the steering wheel?  What would that take, 15 secs?  Of course, then the thief is carrying around a hack saw.

yup to the hack saw.  They make those switch-blade type of hack saws, so you could still conceal it in your pocket. 

I he was driving the coveted Honda Prelude from the late 80's, I'd understand.

There is no locking of the bike, mainly, since I am not a hippie or environmental freak that uses it to commute.  Although there is a locked fenced in "bike cage" in the parking garage for those that do commute via bike. 

It is either in the back of my truck (with locking shell and tail gate) or I am on it/within 10 feet of it.
