Frank Summers' path to the NFL was full of potholes, detours and roadblocks, but with the same punishing determination that made him something of a YouTube legend, "The Tank" plowed through all the obstacles to achieve his lifelong goal.

Nice piece.

I am struck by the exceeding high character that seemingly all the 2009 draftees have.  Every year after the draft you see stories extolling the virtues of a team's draftees, but I can't ever recall this much praise for their intangibles.

And that has to make a big difference.  What a concept, eh?  Draft decent folks who have a desire to play the game.

It is one of the reasons that I am so proud to be a Steelers fan.  I am constantly treated to the Ravens front office and talking heads talking about how important character is when they draft.  It is nice to root for a team that doesn't talk about and instead just goes out and does it.
