I definately remember it and it is the worst accident that did not result in death in sports history in my opinion.  I'm sure there are some honorable mentions, but blood literally spilling out of a mans throat after having a skate blade slice his jugular ranks #1 in my book.

This is just one of the reasons why I laugh when I see a baseball player on IR when he sprains a pinky toe or when a soccer player dives on the ground in agony and pain after being grazed (if that) by another player.  It's a joke.  Hockey players are a different breed.
