The better team doesn't always win and I think that was the case with the Canes/Bruins series.  I'll definately take the Canes and the home-ice.  I'll also take Eric Staal and that offense over a Bruins offense which consists of Kessel, Ryder, Axelsson, Bergeron, Kobasew, Lucic and Savard.  Nevermind having to deal with Chara shadowing Sid or Malkin for a series.

Eitherway, it should be one hell of a series.

I think Eric Staal is a beast and the best forward on either team. However, Boston's collection of talent both offensively and defensively scares me much more and I actually think they are the second best team in the NHL on paper. Obviously anything can happen but you have to be happy with the home ice and Carolina matchup.

Here's hoping Cam Ward cools off, I think we all know the effect a hot goalie can have on a series. Pens in 7.

That's the key.  While the Canes are playing very well as a team, I think that can only last for so long before overall skill get's in the way.  Outside of Staal, Ward is the only other Cane who really scares me on that entire roster.  When he's on his game, he's very tough to beat.

While I'm not saying it's going to be easy (it never is in the playoffs), I feel as long as we don't take these guy's lightly I see no reason why we can't take them out in six.

Would have kinda been nice to be down to 4 teams that were actually in the NHL when I was a kid, but since discovering the bastard Simmons, I can't very well root for any of his teams. With the Celts & Bruins losing last night, I was hoping he might hang himself.

Where's VS2 when you need it? Two deciding games and they have to overlap the games? Pucks needs to get back on ESPN.

Was interesting listening to the TSN crew do the game, as opposed to the VS crew.

If I quit watching as soon as the Flyers were eliminated each season, the last Cup presentation I'd have seen would have been in '75 at Buffalo.
