I'll take anything as a sign of good mojo.
If that's the case, this should make you feel a little better...
1 -
On this day, 19 yrs ago, the Penguins hired Badger Bob Johnson.
2 -
This is the
87
th game of the playoffs this year
3 -
The only game in Detroit we won last year was the last game there.
4 -
The last team to win the cup in game 7 on the road, MTL in 19
71
....the way that series went:
Lost 2 on the road, won 2 at home, lost in a shutout on the road in game 5, won game 6 at home, won game 7 on the road.

Hell, I might actually tune in for my once-in-a-lunar-eclipse hockey viewing tonight...

I'm suffering through the longest day of my life. On top of the biggest hockey game since 1992 tonight, this is my last day before I start vacation. Oh the misery.

Let's do this.
Prediction 3-1 Pens. Guerin gets us on the board early and Mr. Finals himself Ruslan Fedontenko shows up with the winner late in the 3rd. Sid adds an empty netter as a gigantic middle finger to, Hossa, Lindstrom, Hockeytown, Edzo, Melrose, NBC, Ovechkin, and whoever the fuck else. Fluery with the ultimate redemption, 27 saves and goes home grinning with the MVP trophy. Talbot smacks Hossa on the ass in the handshake line, and asks him how it feels to be fucked by a bunch of Penguins.

Watching Savaran on Sportsbeat...my stomach is in knots. Preach...how about asking for a little help form "The Man" upstairs...I know that I am going to do my part.
Go Pens!

Guerin
gets us on the board early
While there are many, I think that's the main key tonight.
We can't afford to come out strong, get chance after chance, fail to produce and then give up the first goal (game five). It completely deflates your team. Strike first, quiet down the crowd, grab the momentum, give Fleury and your defense some comfortability/assurance and go on from there.
I called Pens in 7 and I'm sticking to it!!! Get it done!!!

Wow, this Detroit man-love by NBC is disgusting. I thought the Pens played pretty good D even though Detroit came on strong early, but somehow the Penguins got dominated.
I'm thinking about muting the sound on the rest of the game to keep from listening to these clowns.
