So, about a month ago Big Virgil posted about how he broke the frame of his bike, while riding,  and was getting a new upgraded frame from the manufacturer.

A few days after the frame broke BV's knee/ back of leg started hurting and got worse about a week after.  It hasn't improved any since then, which really suprised him.  Went to the family doc on Friday to get a referral for the orthopedic doc.  Family doc thinks BV has a torn ligament, not ACL or MCL but the PCL (posterior).  That is probably the lesser of the three evils, so he'll see.  BV has an appt with orthopedic doc on Friday, so he'll go from there.

When the frame broke, the part that broke allowed the rear triangle to flex while BV rode (50 to 100 feet).  Since BV's bike has rear suspension, that allowed the bike to raise up when force was applied to the pedals.  That prolly doesn't make sense, but BV doesn't know how else to describe it.  Any way, BV thinks he hyper extended his knee when it happened and am done, with everything, for the summer.

No cardio, but can lift with upper body, but that's it.  Huge bummer.

That's BV's contribution for a slow day.

PS - It is challenging to write the way "James Harrison" speaks.

Vinman is really sorry to hear about Big Virgil. VM hopes BV has a quick recovery. VM knew those bikes were dangerous.

Thanks Vin.

Big Virgil will find out more on Friday.

BV and family has a 10 day camping trip in late July and another excursion over Thanksgiving, so he has to be "75%" by then.

You got that right my brotha.  Since I can't go to the gym, I end up at home after work watching Seinfeld and eating cookies.

Can every one contribute a random amount, say $37, towards my liposuction?

Should have blown out your knee on the side of a road that Mrs. Brinker regularly travels.

I'll chip in for size 46 cycling shorts when you manage to get back on your wheels.

Man, I knew I should have worn tennis shoes that day. Don't I look ridiculous in sandals.

Jonzr thinks BV should start swimming laps and maybe that wouldn't be so hard on BV's decrepit old knees.

Hang in there, BV!  And try some Grecian formula.

I look way better than that guy, except his chest, gut, hair, and guns look better than mine.  Crap - maybe I should start training with him.
