How does Glen Sather still have a job?

7.5 per for Gaborik?   Great signing... for the rest of the division.

That's still a better deal for the Rangers than the one Sather gave Scott Gomez and Chris Drury.

So much for Edmonton...

Quote
The Dany Heatley situation took another strange twist Friday with Edmonton Oilers GM Steve Tambellini publicly announcing he's no longer interested in the disgruntled Ottawa Senators sniper.

Edmonton spent the better part of a month courting the former 50-goal scorer -- a process that started after Tambellini hammered out a deal with the Ottawa Senators for Heatley, only to have the winger refuse to waive a no-trade clause.

The soap opera is finally over.  Now hopefully we will receive weekly updates on Heatley's yeast infection up until the season starts...

Heatley and a fifth round draft pick have been traded to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for Milan Michalek, Jonathan Cheechoo and a second round pick.
