I think it's safe to say that Zigomanis will be gone after that resigning.

Penguins forward Adams takes pay cut to stay with team
Monday, June 29, 2009
By Dave Molinari, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Forward Craig Adams took a pay cut to re-sign with the Penguins today.

He got a two-year deal that will pay him $550,000 each season, down from the $600,000 he earned in 2008-09.

Adams was claimed off waivers from Chicago March 4, and played on the Penguins' fourth line during the stretch drive and playoffs. He also killed penalties.

Adams, who would have been an unrestricted free agent Wednesday if he hadn't been re-signed, had three goals and two assists in 24 playoff games.

Wow, that's even better than I expected. I figured 2 years in the 700k range. It's really a quality deal for both sides. Yeah, Adams took a "pay-cut", but he couldn't be sure any NHL team would come by with a 2 year offer.

I'd actually like to sign Ziggy to something similar, and play Adams on the wing on the 4th line with Godard. We'll see though.

After reading that Adams took a cut, that should make it a little easier to sign Zigomanis if they choose to do so.  It would be nice having another good faceoff man on the roster.

Guerin signs one year deal. Sid gets his man back.

No terms yet, please be under 3 million!

Anyways, I'm glad they got him to agree to one year. Even if he pulls a Leclair on us, it won't mess with the immediate future. Just hope he can hold up for 100+ games next year.

What I'm seeing from an insider site is $2.85M, with incentives that can push it to $3.4M

Both the PPG and TSN are saying 1 year - 2 million

The Trib is reporting 2.85

Eitherway, I'm just happy it was under 3.0 and for only one year.  Shero is getting off to a good start.

Most sites now reporting 1yr/$2M with incentives to $2.85M.  No trade clause.  Plenty of reports during the playoffs that Guerin loved playing in the 'burgh.  Must have been right on as I expected either a two year deal or Guerin finding another team.

While I'm looking down the road, I wouldn't mind seeing him become an assistant coach for the organization.  Even the director of player development.  IMO, he would make a good one.
