Sad.  I'm sure there is significantly more to the story, unless this is another Sean Taylor-type situation.  Just another reminder that being great/famous/rich doesn't give you immunity from trouble.

I hated him as a player, mainly because he regularly abused the Steelers.

True dat.  He and Eddie were two guys I loved to hate, but when the clock read 0:00 you had to respect those guys.  Injury report would come out and McNair would sound like a scratch, then the mother would come out and grit out a tough one against us again.  Even as a Rattie, he played us tough. 

Is he a HOFer?  Anyway, underrated amongst the glamor boys these days.  A real fucking shame.

Sorry to hear that, McNair was a gutsy player, probably got the best of the Steelers more often than not.

I don't think he's a HOFer.  Maybe he belongs in a "Titans HOF."  Tough guy, damn good QB, team leader ... yes; NFL HOFer ... don't think so.
