Has a nose for the endzone and at six feet and 230# and he gets it gwine forward.
RB should be a position of strength if you have UDFAs like that pushing everyone in front of him.

Seconded. For my money, he makes the team over Tank. Tank looks short/sluggish/not instinctive.
Would love to find out more about Redman going up against some 1st/2nd stringers....sure we will see some of that in the next couple of games.

Yeah, Tank and Davis just saw the way the position is supposed to be played. Very happy with Redman.

The author makes it sound like Redman wasn't touched. I distinctly remember him getting low and burrowing in with defenders in front and hanging on behind. He got low and powered his way into the ez.

Redman did have to bust his way through two Cardinals at about the 2 yard line but he arrived at that point of contact with a full head of steam and went untouched from the 9 yard line to the 2 yard line.
Guess I'll reserve comment till I see it tonight.
Bottom line, our OL starters are what we thought they were. Put AP or LT or whoever behind them, and they're getting caught in the backfield, too.

He looked good again today at camp...
Quote
Redman scored all three times against the Steelers first-team defense on the second live goalline drill of training camp today. And, in an unprecedented move, coach Mike Tomlin had him carry the ball on each of the seven live plays run in that drill. Redman scored on five, came close on a disputed call on another and was stopped one time up the middle by the second-team defense.

Wexell tweeted about this.
Sounded pretty damn impressive.
I'm hoping he's the real deal...

Up to this point, he's holding his own against the top-ranked defense in the league since camp has started. We shall see. I'm not ready to crown him the second coming of Jerome Bettis, but I can't help getting a little excited over the kid.

Taking it to another level, isn't FWP's contract up after this year? I'm a fan of Parker, but I'm not a fan of breaking the bank to sing running backs to long-term deals. Could we find two more diamonds in the rough in Redman and Vincent?
