I think we have to give Mendenhall a much more serious look. I know he hasn't been exactly productive -- but he seems to hit the LOS with more burst than Parker, who does too much dancing.

Parker also looks like he's lost a step. Watch the highlights from his first game as a starter against Tennessee, and the ones from recent games -- and it is not the same back. Granted, I think he's bulked up a bit and maybe that's added some power and durability at the cost of some speed, but I think it points to a rapid decline to his productivity.

Parker had a couple of plays where he made a decent move to keep the first tackler from getting square on him, and, had he slipped through that first tackler's grasp, would have had a decent gain; but each time, he was arm-tackled.

Yards after the back gets hit.  FWP = 0.  RM = 2,3...  Just sayin', he's not getting any gift from the OL either, but he pushes it.  In what little data we have to go on thanks to Brucellosis.

Exactly. I think Mendenhall runs with what Tomlin might call "violence." He's got a powerful frame and he accelerates quickly and aggressively to the gap - or where it's supposed to be. He makes contact with defenders forcefully.
Give him enough carries, and he'll start to wear defenders down and pop some big runs, I think. I don't think he's the kind of back who will look any good getting 3 to 5 carries a game. He just won't.

Something about his game tells me that he plays a bit like the coaches don't trust him, so he plays a little nervously, and so the trust never builds, and he might be stuck in limbo for a while. Too bad, I think.

i really don't give a fuck what the "experts" say, I would not want anyone else behind center other than Ben.  He instills a confidence in me where I just know he's going to win.  so it's 15 4th quarter comeback wins now?  amazing.

Our O line looked much better than last year.  One sack was Ben's fault he should've thrown the ball away once he eluded that first tackle.  Troy out is HUGE.  our D was picked apart by the drunk after he's out.  Running game is non existent.  Glad to have Robopunter back, that first punt to the 2 was awesome and Logan gets me excited.  Starting on the 45 as opposed to the 15 is a major key to continue the winning ways.

1.6 YPC rushing.

I'll beg to differ.

i was basing my opinion on the fact that Ben seemed to have much more time in the pocket but yes as i said earlier, running game is non existent.

We'll see.  Let's see what happens when teams rush more than 4 guys.  Gosh, the Ravens would never do that.

Ben's on pace for another 45-50 sack year.  'Ooray.

Our O line looked much better than last year on passing plays.

I fixed his post.
