From Yahoo.com

Those of you who believe in the Madden Curse will be pleased to learn that the Madden people are considering spreading their misery even further by putting two people on the cover. The duo they're considering, according to azcentral.com, would be Larry Fitzgerald and Troy Polamalu.

If it were to happen, it would mark the first time that the two have shared a cover since they appeared together on the October 2007 cover of "We Wear Our Hair Like Pretty Girls Monthly."

I kid, I kid. They're both dapper fellows and they have the masculine locks of Samson.

Chris Littmann at First Cuts still believes that it's going to be Ben Roethlisberger on the cover, and that's a very solid guess. I think Adrian Peterson also has to be in the mix for consideration, and if it were up to me, I'd put Philip Rivers on the cover. Against the background of a clear blue sky, shirtless, and glistening in the baby oil that he's rubbing on the chest.

But that's just me, and I don't believe in the Madden Curse. If I had to wager on it, Fitzgerald really seems like the perfect candidate. He made himself a household name in the postseason, he's clean-cut, likable in every way, and will probably never be hotter than he is right now.

Most of that applies to Polamalu, too, and it would be nice to get some defense on the cover again.

And it would all play very nicely into the hot new feature in Madden this year, "Let's Brush Each Other's Hair Mode."

How's the curse been holding up?  Who was on the cover the last couple of seasons?

Favre was on this past year.  He didn't get hurt, but there was that other drama...
2008 - Vince Young (quad injury)
2007 - Shaun Alexander (broken foot)
2006 - Donovan McNabb (hernia)
2005 - Ray Lewis (no interceptions AT ALL, for first time ever, torn hamstring)
2004 - Michael Vick (broke his leg right after the Madden game came out, although managed to play in the season)
2003 - Marshall Faulk (ankle)
2002 - Daunte Culpeper (knee)

I'm just sayin'....I hope it Fitz.

We absolutely do not want Troy on the cover. Period.

The coincidence is quite amazing.  Is this the first time with two players on the cover?

Will the "curse" be satisfied with only one of the two?

Will Fitzgerald be hearing footsteps wherever he goes?

Could it have been a better-named player than Crumpler to crumple Troy's knee?

Did Harrison think he was getting the offender when he took out that other TE?
