The optimist in me thinks Tomlin is using the whole "Ziggy isn't ready yet" thing to lower expectations and take a certain amount of pressure off the rookie, making him look all that much more spectacular as he wins the Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
The pessimist in me is winning out however, as I can't even allow myself to get excited about Troy coming back this week. Perhaps a drubbing of the Browns will lighten the mood.
Unfortunately, unless he has vastly improved since training camp, I'd have to agree with Tomlin's assesment that Zig ain't ready to play the run. He'll give a nice pass rush on 3rd and 4th and long though.
I'd love to be optimistic, but since we gave up like 60 more rushing yards a game the last time Aaron was out, I have a feeling guys like AD are licking their chops all of the sudden.
