Some of the Python stuff has not aged well, but this may be worth a look-see.

On the part about Python off-shoots: I loved Fawlty Towers, more consistently so than Python.  Cleese at his gangliest, most spasticated insanity.

Yes, I loved Faulty Towers too.  Lot's of great stuff there.  That damn moose head.

I had no idea that Terry Gilliam was American.  I've enjoyed his movies as well:  Brazil, 12 Monkeys (one of my faves), Baron von Munchausen, et al if any.
