34-17 Saints with a missed (blocked?) ep by Carney.

That's at the half.  Damn.  I caught a bit of this right before the half, it was 27-17 and the Giants were running the 2 min drill.  Dumbface was gesticulating in typical Manning cupstacker fashion while the clock wound down.  The ball was snapped, Manning scanned the field, patting the ball and never feeling the pressure from behind.  He was strip-sacked, the ball was recovered near the goal by NO.  Brees quickly converted the score.

Guess that #1 Giants defense might be tad bit overrated.

Remember though, G-men were without their starting DT, LB, CB and FS.  Plus, they most their starting RT before the half.  There goes their consecutive games streak for their front five.  Think it was around 40, dating back to '06.  Just imagine...

Anyway, while I expected the Saints to win (one of the few picks I got right), I didn't expect a snoozer like that.  Tough to overcome that amount of injuries against one of the better teams in the league; especially in an area (secondary) that you know they're going to exploit.

Some dude at the bar wanted to debate Ben vs. Eli (again) yesterday.  I cut the convo short by asking him, if he could do that draft over again, if he would want Ben or Manning.  He was silent for about a minute before conceding the argument.

At least Eli has won a ring.

The whole "Rivers should be ranked ahead of Ben" crap makes zero sense to me.
