I just don't see any reason to expect them to "trend upward", fin. The math is there, the opportunity is there-- for all intents and purposes, and against all logic, we control our own fate-- but I wonder whether the spark is there.
Yeah, no shit. This was posted pre-Raiders and pre-Browns.
Ouch.
At this point, all talk has moved away from playoffs and to the draft.

Well
excuse me
, I'm sorry I'm too busy with real life things like fantasy football to read every god-blessed word that drips from the keyboard of fiminalswink.

Well, the Raiders and Browns were the teams we were supposed to get healthy on.
Not the other way 'round.
Just thinking about the last few weeks of our season, really from the Chiefs on... I feel like Chris Henry after his girlfriend hit the accelerator.

Indy helping keep the playoff door open by a hair. Now only 499 things have to happen for us to get in.

Including a couple of team planes going down in the snow.

Was preparing to come on here and ask Preach for forgiveness for my sin of rooting for the Pats to win out. They play Jax and Houston, and one more loss eliminates both (in practical terms - I think there's a scenario where 10 teams could finish 8-8 in the AFC where who knows what would happen). But then I realized it's possible the Pats could lose out (have a Buff road game this week, and Buffalo by all rights should have won that week 1 matchup). And considering the Steelers' playoff chances are hanging by an assbeard hair, the satisfaction of watching NE go 8-8 and miss out may be worth it.
So I'll wait a week before I sell my soul.

Dear Santa,
Could you please let that pissy little fathead, Jay Cutler, have the game of his life this weekend?
After that, I really don't care if he falls out of his truck.

Glen Quagmire: WHOA! Transvestite! Back off! Wait a sec, pre-op or post-op?
Transvetite: Pre-op.
