Even Dolphins and Jags have a mathematical shot. Titans only team in mosh pit with no chance to surface.
Whatever the outcome, it will be a wild football weekend.

I understand we have a shot, but our best shot would have been not to lose to the three turds. And now our shot is still a shot in the dark. Hard for me to get too excited until and unless the dust settles and the miracle occurs. Then, yes. Until then, I'm still vaguely pissy.

I'm just hoping Troy plays and we get one final win for the season. If we're still in the hunt later in the day, I'll tune in for some of the Bungles/Jets. I don't think we'll get in, but stranger things have happened. We've been lucky to still have any kind of shot at this point, but I think the luck runs out on Sunday.

Hopefully by tomorrow or Thursday Troy will be at least questionable or probable for the game. Troy vs Henne - I'm guessing 2 sacks and 3 picks for Troy. In the 1st quarter any way.

I wouldn't say I've been *missing* it, Bob.

Yeah. I'll definitely be watching, but it seems like a lot of people are putting a lot of energy into figuring out some scant playoff combos. We'll just see.

Well I figured if we got to week 17 and were still in it, I'd take a look and see where we are. I agree it's a lot longer shot than it should be, and probably a waste of time to figure out scenarios, but it's something to do. This team has no business having to need help from others to crawl into the playoffs. We should have been competing for a bye, not the 6 seed.
But we are where we are.

I'd say the four turds, Chicago's performance last night notwithstanding. And I'm still not convinced the Bengals aren't simply well dressed turds.

I stand corrected.

Sunday night I really didn't feel good about the Steelers chances. Looking at the matchups this weekend, it was gonna take a surprise or two for them to qualify. I still think their chances are around 20%, but watching Chicago play inspired ball when it meant nothing against a team fighting for something made me feel a little better about Oakland, and to some extent KC.
If the Steelers look like they're going to 9-7, I will start looking at the other scores. At this point , Im just hoping for a winning record, and ending the season on a high note. If they squeeze in it will be awesome, but I realize it's probably not happening.
There is only one other game with implications going on when the Steelers are playing, and it's NE@HOU. So after the Steelers beat the Fins(yes I'm projecting), and the Patsies take care of Houston, I will give the remote a workout flipping between BAL@OAK, and KC@DEN which are the late games. If NE, OAK, and KC all win then PIT would be in even before the CIN@NYJ. If it comes down to Cincy winning for the Steelers to make it, I'm sure we will all be watching.
