A country that's been through hell most of its history.

Well, duh, they made a freakin' pact with Satan!

That's religion for ya.

Sorry if this is overly defensive, Otis, but do not lump all into the cesspool created by a few and their followers of that "ilk."

Does anyone still believe that Robertson is a man of God?

Frighteningly, someone still does--but he never was.

This guy should be removed from the airwaves.  I'd like to see an angry mob of Christians protesting outside of his little fortress in Virginia Beach.

My "intelligent" response to his comments would be, "WTF???"

I think this is much more the response that is needed, especially by those who claim to be followers of Christ.

My friend John visits his friend Koulou in Haiti.  His house -- his entire life's equity -- is gone.  But he is grateful to be alive.

Here John speaks about the spirit of the people as they clean, bury, and rebuild.  It's amazing that these folks have such an indomitable spirit.  He says the reports of looting and fighting were not something he really saw.  All this tragedy as children play joyfully and noisily nearby.  Also, he and his wife have only enough water and money for a day or so right now.
