The latest from my friend John...  This one is a bit longer, but it has some valuable info on what Haiti Partners (his one group) is doing to facilitate aid in Haiti.  They need a truck and Internet connectivity, which he explains.  They're pretty close with the truck, but if anyone here is looking to contribute more to the Haitians, please check out John's organization's site.

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Here are the updates I've been posting, plus a few more.  If you're interested, there are some very sober and intelligent reports.

Here is the donations link.  They're really close to getting the truck, from what John's said.  If you want to donate specifically to the truck or to the Internet hookup, send the donation, then email John to let him know where the funds are to be directed at john@haitipartners.org.

Also, the IRS will allow you to write off contributions for the Haiti disaster on your 2009 taxes, so long as you contribute before 2/28/10.  Donate now, get your tax break now.

Thanks, Finny, for posting all of this.
Your friend John is a hero.

I'm proud to say that I knew George Clooney back in 1976, and he helped raise a bunch of money tonite.

I'm doing what I can.  Wish I could do more.

Actually, it was Mrs. Garrett.  She was quite the cougar.
