Good deal for Balty because all they basically had to give up was a bag of Fritos...they were Barbeque flavor tho...
Still, I like Boldin as a player, but I think this deal looks better on paper than it actually is. Without a marquee WR opposite Boldin to attract a whole lot of attention, he won't be anywhere near as effective as he was in Phoenix. Maybe Stallworth can be that guy, but I doubt it.
Baltimore got themselves one tough, hard nosed SOB possession receiver who's now overpriced.
Or, to put it another way, I'm glad they got him and not Marshall.

Not as overpriced as Hines Ward. Boldin re-negotiated a pretty cap friendly deal with Baltimore and, as you said, they gave up two bags of Hot Fries and a ring pop flavor to be named.
Boldin had his best season before Warner and Fitz got there.
He'll be the best WR in Baltimore history the day he shows up.
Bad, bad news.

Mason is still there too, right?
I hate Mason. He always has played well against us, making clutch grabs to keep the sticks moving. With the Ratties,
he's been able to do it despite the fact that they have not had anyone of consequence lined up on the other side.
Now they do. Ugh.

Mason is currently a UFA. Baltimore offered a two year deal a few weeks ago and Mason passed.
While it wouldn't surprise me to see Mason move on or retire, his wife is really involved with with charity work here in Baltimore.
Mason and Boldin are both possession receivers, with Mason being at least more durable but much older.
