From the P-G recap of Pens-B's:

The victory raised the Penguins' record to 42-24-5 and assured them of at least a share of first place in the Atlantic Division, pending the outcome of New Jersey's game at Toronto.

Huh? Am I missing something obvious here?

I'm assuming that they meant a share for just today? New Jersey lost in a shootout and the Penguins won and now have a one point lead. If New Jersey would have won, they'd be tied for the division lead.

I agree, that wording sucks.
