So we get the Bruins. On paper there's no real comparison of these teams; although Rask looks like he may be the real deal, Boston has been the home of the regular season miracle goalie the last few years. Not a believer, not yet, anyway.
I wonder if Bylsma will work the Cooke line against Savard's.

I'm thinking its the Bs as well. I forsee a blowout for the caps against the overachieving Habs tonight to the tune of at least 7 goals.
as for Savard, i really dont expect too much from the oatmeal brain.

You guys have no faith. Either that or you you just jinxed the caps into a chokejob with this thread. For the record I did think the caps would have a tough time with the habs a la the rangers last year but I do expect the wheels to come off tonight by about the midpoint of the 2nd and the caps to coast.
Interesting stuff regarding the B's. Obviously Chara leads them in TOI but some some of their top minutes go to:
(Average TOI 1st round):
20:26 - Bergeron
20:18 - Krejci
19:05 - Recchi
17:55 - Satan
16:30 - Sturm
15:13 - Lucic
Recchi and Satan getting 1st and 2nd line minutes? I guess my point is I don't see where the offense is going to come from.
Edit: Looks like game one will be either Friday or Sunday:
The NHL will not announce second-round dates until after today, but the Penguins' second-round series likely will start Friday or Sunday.
A game cannot be played at Mellon Arena Saturday because Point Park University is holding commencement ceremonies there.

A weird thing happened to my brain last night. I saw the Wings-Coyotes score, was disappointed, then somehow my brain transferred that disappointment into the idea that the Caps had won instead. And then I made this thread.
I ain't saying I was drunk, but it's a good thing there weren't no midget hookers around, either.
Still I think the Caps win by 5 or 6 tonight. Although it would be funny as hell if the Habs won, and the postgame lineup Halak presented Ovechkin with a very shaky hand.

It was the right call, but I can't believe they took away that Cap's goal. This building may literally be burned down in 9:25.

HAHAHAHAHA!! And one of hockey's longstanding playoff truths is confirmed: the hot goalie trumps all.
No, scratch that. The hockey lesson to be learned here is that the Caputals will always save their best hockey for March.

Geez, Louise!
When I was a kid, the Habs were the Pats/Ravens/Cowboys rolled into one. Yet I was rooting for them, just because it seemed there was no way that one goal lead could hold up.
I only watched from about the halfway point, but pretty entertaining.
