I bet the ump would give a months pay to have that call back.  Unless he's a media whore who did it on purpose, but that's not the impression I get of the guy.

As many tears as Joyce has cried over this, he'd give his left nutsack to have the call reversed.  Selig would be doing the guy a huge favor!

At the end of the day, it's nothing more than a meaningless June baseball game. There are still 317 games left in the season, even though half the field has already been mathematically eliminated.
The only good thing about a perfect game is that it might finish in under 3 hours.

Baseball changes the box score all the time...hits to errors, etc.  No big deal if they changed the box score here.

That said, if Galarraga doesn't care, why should I?

Viva Gallaraga for being so forgiving. Thought that was cool.

Joyce is a good umpire but he should be given an ultimatum: Vow to clean up his act and do things fully forthright and agree to shaving off the Hulkamania red(neck)-and-gold mustache thing. Either that or comply agreeing to venture the other way and rock air guitar on his way to a call, huge sunglasses, and a painted on beard. Go heel. Totally screw teams over....,brother! Can't watch for a vicious legdrop on La Russa in the middle of the World Series.

Cmon, you all know MLB needs some fresh ideas to promote viewership.
