Yes sireeeee!!!!!
In about two years I'm going to be looking for a room to rent, for about 8 years. AJ, you got an extra room or two at the new Law estate? I can pay $37 per month.

Two years? More like...six months ago. You live in the mountains?

Yeah - I'm probably kidding myself thinking I have 2 years of normalcy left.
I could probably homestead some land big enough for a $37 per month shanty. My minimum requirements for this "build to suit" opportunity is DirecTV and internet.

If worse comes to worse you can always hope for a dumpster somewhere near a business with open wifi.

When I was up in Canada a few weeks back had to go park in front of the local Tim Hortons to check my Yahoo mail.

Our daughter will be 13 in Oct. If I can make the next 8 years w/o killing her or someone else, it will be surprising. Can already get a good feel for which classmates will OD, get knacked up or be working the pole in the next 5 years.

The 13 yr old is tall, lenky, and not cool, so her friends are very ordinary, nice and normal.
The 12 yr old is waaaay too smart for her own good. She will test us, but she is still pretty good for now. Otis is right - I can see the different paths for her friends already. SCARY

BTW, how did you shoot for the round?
I got out for the first time since last September on Father's Day. Didn't even touch a club during that period. Got to the course about 12 minutes before tee time and we were promptly told, "you're on the tee."
Can't complain though. Hit the ball OK, all things considered. Shot a 90 with four 3 putts and two 4 putts. Short game touch was waaaaaaaayyyyy off.
Can't wait for the kids to get old enough to take them too. They're gettin' close. The only problem at that point will be being able to afford to pay for a foursome.

I told a few of the guys I play golf with tha tthis year I am committed to golf, at least 3 times!!!!
After playing once last summer, I played the weekend before Memorial Day, then with my daughter. My regular outing I shot 90. I did OK on the par 3. 1 bird, some pars, bog's and one double. The holes I did poorly on were 85 - 100 yards. That half - 3/4 swing kills me.
The par 3 was $17 for both of us. Not bad. When she moves up to the executive course, which is also 9 holes, it still won't be bad. For regular 18 hole courses, as little as I play, if we stick to the muni courses, the cost won't be too bad.
I just have to find time to get her out on the course.
