Such a great family.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Coach and his family.

Very sad for this family...I am glad that Cowher had more time with them the last few years.

The evil and brutality of this disease never ceases to amaze me.

I wonder when Bill knew: before or after the retirement?  In any event, good that he was out of the grind and could spend time with the family.

How will this affect his decision to possibly return to coaching?

I wondered that too.  Either way one assumes they had as much leisure/quality time as possible.  In the TV movie-of-the-week version, they'll find out right before the playoff run to the Super Bowl.

Such sad news, Bill & Kaye were a wonderful couple who raised three great daughters.
Nice obituary in the Post Gazette  http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10206/1075261-122.stm

God Bless you, Cowher Family.
