I'm not at all surprised by this.  So Big Ben hasn't done enough to be named a captain this year.  Whoop-tee-friggin-do.

This ain't the Bengals.  It's the Pittsburgh Steelers.  You don't go out and have a run-in with the law and get a suspension and come back to everyone kissing your arse.  You have to earn it on this team...and until Ben comes back and proves it, he ain't earned it.

Besides, how can you name a guy captain who isn't going to be there for four games?

In related news, DD is the QB.

Again, I have no issues here.  Other than the Denver game he looked great this preseason.  And with our OL, you'd better start a QB that can move.

Pittsburgh's captains this year are receiver Hines Ward, tight end Heath Miller and linebackers James Farrior and Keyaron Fox.

"The captain's not just what you do on the field, it's what you do off the field," Ward said Monday. "Heath lives here [at the training facility], he's constantly here during coaching sessions and offseason workouts. It's well deserved."

Sounds like they got the right ones to me.
