When I was a kid his was one of the first of those little paperback sports biographies that I read.  He broke the mold, man.  RIP Mr. Blanda.

I live 20 minutes from his birthplace.  Used to drive thru Youngwood going to trade school.  They dont have a FUCKING THING that I saw dedicated to him.  Never knew he was from Youngwood untill about 2 years ago.  Shame.  Meanwhile, they name my old HS stadium Joe Montana Stadium.  Fucking prick he is.

Yes, yes he is. I'm glad you pointed that out. It's one reason I could never be a fan. Didja ever hear how he tried to charge Baldwin an appearance fee for a parade in his honor?!?

nope.  But I know he did the same thing to Ringgold.  I was a junior.  1997.  Wanted a fee.  Asshole fucker.  We wanted him to be a guest speaker at our football banquet too and he just totally blew us off.  My old man played ball with Joe.  Grew up a few minutes away from him.  Said Joe's dad would make him throw the ball thru a tire 100 times before he could eat dinner.  If he missed, he started over again.  Also said he was the whiniest little bitch he ever knew.  Cried when he wouldn't get his way.  Cried when he got hit.  Cried all the damn time.

So.....Joe, if you are reading this...for being such a fussy, money grubbing, whiny fucker, the Mid Mon Valley collectively says "SUCK OUR DICKS".
