Game 1
I listened at work today and had a choice of the regular Rangers crew or the national feed on The Worldwide Sucker. Chose the local boys for a few innings and then alternated as Bobby Valentine was doing color for the other guys and I enjoy his work. Fun game, Texas got up on 'em early and never looked back. Manufactured a couple of early runs then got two solo shots the next couple of innings and tacked on another off a Vlad double.
Cliff Lee delivered with 10 Ks and six shutout innings until he gave up a solo homer in the 7th. The bullpen took over after that. The 8th had little action but the closer, Feliz, tried to make it interesting by walking the first two batters in the bottom of the ninth. But he settled down and got the next three with a line out to right and two Ks. Whew!
5-1 Rangers.

6-0 in game two, 2-0 for the series.
Looks like they're zeroing in on a series with aj's damned Yankees.

Sumbitch. Series tied and they're heading back to Tampa for the decisive game.

Wow! What a series, eh Jonzr?
Ok, I tried, but who really gives a fuck about baseball? What a boring sport. And the post season is the only time it
might
offer an element of excitement.
Week 2 and you might have a great NFL game. Does anyone even remember games from May & June?

Sure there was that one when um when they uhhh .... no, honestly, no. I follow the team through the season and catch games here and there. No way do I try to watch all 162 or even half or even a quarter for that matter. But they made the friggin' playoffs! One more shot at spanking the monkey, er, getting the monkey off their back.

Hot damn! Well, Cliff Lee took two from the Yankees last year, let's see if he can do it again. Rangers go to the ALCS.

Funny. That shot reminded me of this image.
Yanks in 5, broski...unless Lee pitches in every game then it would be Yanks in 7.

No doubt the Yanks are the favorites and the Rangers just won their World Series. Still, you know that if Lee pitched every game it would be Rangers in 4. I bet it goes to at least 6 games.
