Jersey question for our resident guru

A Steeler fan I know has a Roethlisberger SB XLIII road authentic* jersey that he wants to unload because he thinks Ben is a douche; can't stand the thought of wearing his jersey; hopes he gets traded; etc., etc.
It's a size 54. What size is that? I only have replica jerseys which are a traditional size "L."
*I assume it's authentic as he's told me that the numbers and nameplate are stitched on. Not 100% sure if it's a true authentic piece tho. Guess I won't know until I see it.

Transvetite: [in deep voice] Sure.
Glen Quagmire: WHOA! Transvestite! Back off! Wait a sec, pre-op or post-op?
Transvetite: Pre-op.
Glen Quagmire: WHOA! Transvestite! Back off!

If you wear a size L, I think a true 54 is going to be too big for you. It should be right around 27", side to side (across the number), laid flat. It will be longer than the replica L, too.
I don't think they made any 'authentics' with the SB patch. Shoot me a pic. These days, I assume every jersey is a bad knockoff, unless I can see it.
You can't wear a fake jersey with a legit watch

Unless you're north of 240, I'd think a 52 would be ample.
Based on your hat, I'm guessing you'll also want to be able to tuck the jersey into your Wranglers.

Hey P4P, did you get those "open fly" Wranglers like Brett Favruh?

I like this one better (though to be fair, SNL was more realistic with the size
). Brett in the video is actually my best friend from HS. They posted the video about a week before the SNL one came out. Give them some love.

BTW the accidental racist that they did was pretty funny too. Here's the link for that one:
