Well, with Texas getting to the WS, at least it gave the kiddies a solid Halloween costume choice.

Whew. Another clutch performance by Cobra Lewis.
Now it's time for Big Game Tommy Hunter to get it done tomorrow night and even this thing up at 2.

OK, so it's 3-1 and a must win for Cliff Lee or the Giants win it in Tejas. Gotta extend it to 6 games, back to SF!

Thanks. They just ran into a team with serious pitching. I was wondering why the bats got so quiet but you have to hand it to their pitchers man. Too bad they couldn't extend it one more game so that the bastards wouldn't win it here. Oh well.
It was a good season and frankly, I was happy when they won the division and then won a couple of playoff games. :losertalk:
I bet Lee goes to the Yankess, whaddaya think?

I'm totally in the minority here, but I don't want him.
IDGAF, how good he's been the last few postseasons, the dude is 32. As crazy as it might seem, it wasn't that long ago that he was sent down to the minors because he couldn't find the strikezone.
IMO, there's a pretty big changing of the guard coming soon with this team. They need to look to the kids, develop them and give them their shot. Work with guys like Hughes and Joba and see if they have what it takes. Plus, they've got a slew of young arms that will be ready sooner rather than later in AA and AAA. You go out and throw 25-30 million per at Lee, when do they get their shot? They won't. They'll just end up getting dealt away in some stupid trade deadline, desperation move.
Dynasties are built from within, FFS.

I'm kinda worried that the Rangers are gonna offer 6 or 7 years and he'll be finished after two. Although the Rangers actually need him to bridge it till some of their younger arms make it up to the bigs. At the moment he's a bit tarnished with two straight losses in the WS, but he's still a top talent, just a matter of for how long.
Agree about building from w/in, all those pitchers in SF that just mowed through the playoffs were homegrown.
So, aj doesn't want him, wonder what Steinbrenner wants?
