Are they the worst manager of draft picks of any franchise - ever?

First, giving the Cowboys three titles by handing them their entire top end of their draft for 3 yrs for an above average (at best) RB (Hershell Walker) who's style didn't fit their offense.

Missed their time on the clock on draft day (twice?)

Now trading a third rounder for a player you cut after 4 weeks?

Unbelieveably incompetent.

And, to answer comment on other Moss thread, Moss won't get back to NE because they are last on the waiver wire - someone will pick him up.

And the lesson, once again, is:  never deal with the Pats...ever...for any reason.  You always get screwed.

They probably are but Jerry Jones is giving them a run for their money.  In recent years he gave up two #1s for Joey Galloway who did jack while in Dallas, a #1 and more for Roy Williams (WR) who continues to spare everyone to death and on more than one draft day brags about how they're so stocked with talent that they're drafting a) backups or b) special teamers.  Unbelievable.

But that trick of turning a 3rd rounder into absolutely nothing was pretty neat.  Nice job, Viqueens.

True.  Almost makes the Browns FO look genius.  They've a stellar record of drafting well (Couch, et al.) and retention (don't have the figures handy, but probably fewer draft picks stick 4 years downstream than any other team).

And don't forget Crazy Al.  Just picks whoever runs fast or throws farther.  DrankMarcus Russell is a bust of Leaf-like proportions, and yet the Raiduhs have more wins than the Vikes.

Those are bad too, but at least those teams actually USE their picks.
