Heard on radio this morning that Suisham was the only guy they brought in. They didn't use a long snapper or anything like that to remotely simulate a game situation.

Josh Miller (who I think has a crush on Reed) used the analogy of the Steelers ditching a Porsche, going shopping at a used car lot and buying some kind of POS car. He also keeps stating how getting rid of Reed won't address the offense's inability to score, the OL's inability to do anything right or the D's ability to keep people from scoring. He loves being in the kicking/punting fraternity, apparently.

I don't think the Steelers consider this any type of fix. Dude they brought in is a pretty shitty kicker, no? But he's Canadian, so you know he'll be able to handle the juice a little better.

Wasn't Jeffy gonzo after this season anyhow? So he left 7 games early.

I think it's just a case of growing weary of Reed and cutting him loose. Will Shaun (88%) be back next season? Doubt it.

Suisham fucking sucks as FG kicker.  He will cost us a game this year, uness this means we're going for it every fourth down outside the 25 yard line.

This particular radio show (on 93.7 in PGH) positions him as its "NFL analyst." I've not been listening to it for long, but he gets on my nerves to the nth degree. Such a smug D-B. Funnily enough, when the non-athlete co-host referred to the OL as the offensive line, Miller responded "You call it the OL - we call it the trenches" - as though other players would consider him/a punter their equal. Ha.
