Porter - you drew me out of lurk mode. Ahhh, Sam Kinison - love him or hate him, not much in between. That video is from an HBO special back in the day. My wife bought it for me on DVD a while back. Hilarious. This link Sam is doing a love song for an ex-girlfriend from the same performance.
This dude posted the performance in 5 parts. This is the first one. His bit starts about a minute into this video. Video 4 of 5 he talks about being an oriental lickmaster. Pretty funny stuff.

I heard something a while back about a bio movie about Kinison, apparently there's a trailer or something on youtube. Anyway, that got me watching some of these clips and those led me to Bill Hicks - I'd forgotten how brilliant he was.
But yeah, Kinison could take it over the top. Some comics today seem stale by comparison.
