Who will it be?  Mitch "The Mitch is Back" Berger? Ex-Brownie Paul Ernster? Could they lure Fatmouth Josh Miller out of retirement?

Stay tuned as we track this eciting story.

No Berger, please.  No mas!  This is a Mitch-free zone.

If it's legal, I say they put a guy who can cleanly catch a long snap back beside Suisham, snap it to him, have him hand it to Suisham, let him block and would-be assailants. Suisham did a good job punting. A little slow on the uptake though.

And I'm only half-serious.

I saw they brought in two guys I'd never heard of today to take a look at.  I'm too lazy to find a link or check the names.  I was just glad it's not Ernster or Berger.

This Sepulveda injury is a real bummer though, dude was on fire this year.  Gotta wonder if that right knee is gonna be a career-shortening kind of thing.

I say we just let Keisel's beard handle the punting for now and save a roster spot.

But, he has never had a punt blocked in the NFL.

It's Kapinos.  Probably the better of the two they worked out.

Damn, Wikipedia is fast.

He'll wear Reed's old number. Probably the same size too.

Some quick Googling found any number of Packers fans who were of the "he sucks!" commentators.

Kappy's big year was in GB in 2009 (he had just 6 games out side of that, with the Colts, Packers, and Jets).  In 2009, the Packers ranked 18th in gross average (43.1), tied for 31st in net average (34.1) and were dead last in punts inside the 20 (15).  They also had a new guy as STs coach, so that could explain the differential between gross average and net/i20s.

Kappy's long punts for the year were 48, 55, 58, and 55 yards, with the 6 outlier games accounting for a grand total of 26 punts.  Still, he had 66 punts in 2009, the year his long was 58, so he's not a boomer like Sepulveda.  Danny's longs have been 59, 60, and 62.

Going by averages:  Kappy - 42.9, Danny - 43.4.
Net average: Kappy - 34.8, 37.9.
Inside the 20: Kappy - 26 of 92 (28.3%), Danny - 73 of 196 (37.2%).

As mentioned, nets and i20s rely on the rest of your teams team, so there's that.
