NFLN doing top 10 all time Steelers tomorrow.  Interesting idea, but Mark Madden?  Seriously?  WTF was that?  Can't watch it now knowing he's on there.

But while we're at it, in no particular order, my top 10 (with apologies to any pre-1970 deserving players, but I don't know that era):

Greene
Lambert
Bradshaw
Stallworth
Bettis
Woodson
Webster
Polamalu
Roethlisberger
Blount

Damn this is tough.  Ward needs to be on there, but can't take anyone off.  Is Ward more deserving than Ben?

Assuming this is players only list

Not many memorable players pre 1970s... only 2 I can really recall off the top of my head.  Now just so you know, I am only 40, so I grew up on the 70s Steelers.  As far as anyone pre 1970 goes, I would have to say Byron "Whizzer" White and Ernie Stautner.  As far as my top 10 list goes in no particular order...

Ernie Stautner
Mean Joe Greene
Jack Ham
Mike Webster
Jerome Bettis
Rod Woodson
Ben Roethlisberger
Hines Ward
Mel Blount
Dermonti Dawson

A Bit outside the box, but what the hell.

Here's the Official List

*Jack Ham was considered the biggest bust.

10. Jerome Bettis
9. Lynn Swann
8. Hines Ward
7. Troy Polamalu
6. Mel Blunt
5. Jack Lambert
4. Rod Woodson
3. Franco Harris
2. Terry Bradshaw
1. Mean Joe Greene

Not surprising that the OLINEMAN mentioned above didn't make the list.

Do not know how someone who could be the best at his position, Webster, could not make the list.

Pretty amazing list.  I think the Steelers' 11-20 is better than at least half of the other franchises' top 10.

Guys like Donnie Shell, Lavon Kirkland and Greg Lloyd aren't even in the conversation for top 10.

This looks like fun:

1.) Greene
2.) Blount
3.) Troy
4.) Ham
5.) Woodson
6.) Franco
7.) Webster
8.) Lambert
9.) TB
10.) Ben

Damn, they really need 2 top 10 lists. Or three. You could probably do a top 10 linebackers or skill positions and it's be better than everyone elses overall top ten list but the Cowboys, Bears, and Packers.

It's an insult to Louis Lipps to be on that list.
