Wow, he seemed old when I was a kid.  And you know what?  He kinda was.  20 jumping jacks in your honor, sir!

Or 20 headset tosses. Whatever you can muster.

I'm sure Mrs. Ryan poured honey on her toes and let him suck himself to sleep last night.

When he was 43, he did 1,000 push ups in 23 minuters for a tv show.  Are you kidding me?

A local morning radio show had him on every year within a day or two of his b-day.  About 4 years ago, they were talking about the usual, food, exercise, etc etc.  They asked him to tell the listerners a few good eating tips.  He had one comment that sums it all up from a health perspective.  "If it tastes good, spit it out"  Priceless.

One of those interviews, he was prolly 92 or 93 he said he lifted for 2 hours each day and swam for another hour.  He said when doing push ups, he used chairs (feet and hands) so he could go deep and get his chest below his hands.  At 90 +.

And didn't he pull a tugboat or something while swimming when in his 60's or 70's?  Seems like I remember that.

Jack LaLanne, 61, leaves the water after swimming 2 miles while shackled, handcuffed and towing a 2,000 lb boat

He swam with feet and hands shackled while towing some type of boat across San Fran Bay, I think.  He did it again somewhere else.

Quote
At 60, he swam from Alcatraz Island to Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco — handcuffed, shackled and towing a boat. Ten years later, he performed a similar feat in Long Beach harbor.

"If it tastes good, spit it out."  Works out like a demon, lives to be 96.

Julia Child.  Eats whatever tastes good, butter, cream, cheese, it's all good.  Exercises by stirring the boeuf bourguignon and uncorking more wine.  Lives to be 91.

I know which way I'm going.

Tell it to the dead guy, his line.

LaLanne wasn't a fan of the tang?

There's some tang out there that's definitely not good for you.
