Cecil a Steeler?
2:56
PM ET
Pittsburgh Steelers Top EmailComments Share Chuck Cecil was on the coaching staff of the Tennessee Titans for 10 years, but he found himself let go in January when Mike Munchak took over head coaching duties from Jeff Fisher.
Looks like he's landed on landed on his feet. ESPN's John Clayton is reporting that Cecil will interview with the Pittsburgh Steelers today concerning the team's vacancy at secondary coach. The position was opened when Ray Horton left to take the defensive coordinator gig with the Arizona Cardinals.

Lol, Chuck Cecil had a reputation for head hunting, didn't he?

My sources tell me James Harrison was fined 25,000 dollars for the hire of Cecil.

Just curious: Why not go after Rod Woodson for the job? I didn't check all the timing, but it seems the Steelers might have had a small window following Horton's departure and Woodson's hiring in Oak.

I love Woodson, but I don't know how good of a coach he'd be.
Imagine him telling Gay to just run faster and close quicker after he's gotten turned around and beaten.
Or telling Ike to just try catching the ball.
There is some stuff that cannot be taught.

The other two are obvious. But has Hope done anything stoopit? Perhaps it's just my impending 40th birthday playing tricks with my mind.
