Like.

Very much so.

Really liked him as a player.  Will see if it translates over to wearing the headset.

Shit, he ain't that old.  If he's in decent shape, maybe he can pull double duty and jump in on nickel or dime packages.

Agreed.  And I know its only Horton, but Im getting moderately tired of Wisenhunt raping Pittsburgh.  I know it happens, but its getting old.  Seriously.

I just read that, yay!

Mike Tomlin filled the only opening on his staff today when he hired Carnell Lake to coach the Steelers' defensive backs.

Lake returns to the team for which he excelled as a defensive back from 1989-98. Lake, who interviewed with the Steelers last week, coached the secondary at UCLA, his alma mater, in 2009 but left after one season because of family reasons.

Lake, who played mostly safety for the Steelers but also lined up at cornerback, made the Pro Bowl four times while in Pittsburgh. He was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Year in 1997.

Lake replaces Ray Horton, who left in February to become the Arizona Cardinals' defensive coordinator because Whisenhunt wants Arizona to become Pittsburgh West.

This situation could be an anomoly, but could just as easily be a constant headache.

We need to only hire people without families.  It's just smart business.

That is a part of New England's successful blueprint, after all.

Funny, that was exactly what I thought of after I hit post.  Well, something about Belichick having been raised in a terrarium and being fed flies.

I agree, no families, feelings or emotions.  Everyone is soft these days.

My dog barfed, I have to go home.

If they need time off for training and exercise, I understand that!!

Maybe Lake was just feeling fat but didn't want to put that out there.
