Stanley Cup Playoffs

Thought I'd make a place for any random musings on the rest of the NHL campaign.
So far every team I hate is losing their series.
That is all.

I'm surprised that the Sharks are up 2-0 on the Wings, guess they needed to not be in 1st place. And the Lightning take a 2-0 lead back to their place? Dayum.

Obviously it's too early in that series to even think this but how awesome would another capitals chokejob be? This is really the year they are set up to make the finals being that Pittsburgh is already out, Philly has goaltending issues, and neither Tampa or Boston are that great of teams. I'd love to see those arrogant dufusses go golfing early again this year.

Yeah, it's a WC year. Any team but Nashville would make mincemeat of Philly, Boston or TB.
Hopefully Coach Porky Pig has done enough to keep his goofy ass around for another year though.

Tim Thomas stole that one. Let's see if Boston can go up 3-0 then choke it away again.

Yeah, Tampa really took it to them, especially in the third. Conference finals minus the Craps and Flyers would sure take the sting off our early exit.

More hilarity regarding the Caps, going back to 1998:
2011 -- defeated Rangers in Eastern Conf Quarterfinals, Swept like the bitches they are 4-0 by Tampa in Easten Conf semifinals
2010 -- lost to Canadiens in Eastern Conf Quaterfinals.
2009 -- defeated NY Rangers, 4-3, Eastern Conf. quarterfinals
lost to Pittsburgh, 4-3, Eastern Conf. semifinals
2008 -- lost to Philadelphia, 4-3, Eastern Conf. quarterfinals
2003 -- lost to Tampa Bay, 4-2, Eastern Conf. quarterfinals
2001 -- lost to Pittsburgh, 4-2, Eastern Conf. quarterfinals
2000 -- lost to Pittsburgh, 4-1, Eastern Conf. quarterfinals
1998 -- defeated Boston, 4-2, Eastern Conf. quarterfinals
defeated Ottawa, 4-1, Eastern Conf. semifinals
defeated Buffalo, 4-2, Eastern Conf. finals
lost to Detroit, 4-0, Stanley Cup Finals
In summary, since their 1998 trip to the finals, the Crapitals have made it out of the first round twice. Both times as a top seed beating the 8th seed Rangers. For a team often annointed as the second coming, they sure do lose in the first round alot. Couldn't happen to a bigger bunch of assholes.
