They've just fucked with the rules too much. It's a complete joke how an NBA game is called. And peeps will say, "It was always called like that." No, it wasn't. I don't mind an extra half step, but you can jump up and land again before you shoot. Jump step, crab step...walk, walk, walk.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I saw BronBron walk at least twice last night and it wasn't called. Back in Game Two, he had an up and down that wasn't called either. Took it to the rack, drew contact and held the ball until the tip of one of his feet hit the floor, then took the shot. He got the "and 1" call and I'm like, "wtf?" Rewound it and slo-mo'ed it. DVR is a godsend.
Rules changes (and enforcement) might drive me crazy, but it's not going to change the love for the game. Finny beat me to the punch by bringing up the NFL changes. It pisses you off, but we're sure as shit gonna watch.
Those issues aside, the NBA is firing on all cylinders. Aside from the NFL, it's the most popular professional sport in this country (which I guess, isn't really saying that much, but whatevs). Prime talent is widespread and there are a lot of fun teams to watch.
It might not be Magic vs. Bird, Magic vs. Isaiah, Bird vs. Jordan, etc., but, I don't know if we'll ever see that again.
What a frigging game. The Mavs will be the death of me. Series tied 2-2. Lebron who?
Been pulling for Mavs in 6. And please, no more comparisons of Lebron to Jordan or Kobe. How can people do that when he's not even the best guard on the Heat? Flash is the reason they won in...er, '06? And if they pull this one out, it won't be because of James. You simply can't be talked about as an all time great when you consistently dis-a-fucking-ppear when it matters most.
