Back in the 80s when I was living in NYC (briefly) and working at the Tower Records at 4th & Broadway, we had an in-store with CC. I think he had an album out then (probably Hero, 1985), and of course the proximity to Jersey and the Boss being at the height of his popularity post-USA, the line went out the door for autographs. Most of the little divas who came in to sign were out like clockwork or earlier, but CC stayed well beyond the time scheduled, signing, talking, getting pics taken. Signed something for me, now lost. He was really a gracious guy who went out of his way to try to please his fans. Not the biggest Bruce fan, but I do like some of his stuff, and you can't deny that CC is a big component of the sound.

I always like hearing about guys who get it. There was no bigger band at that time but CC had time for the fans, that's cool.
