Kaczur released by Patriots.
Gaither may or may not have singed with Oakland(?)
Asante Samuel may or may not be on the trading block in Philly.
Holy crap. Serious shuffling going on. Gonna look like a new league this year. Lotta old faces in new places.

Marion Barber and Amobi Okoye ink deals with Bears.
Gaither deal fell through because of health issues?
Colts release cornerback Kelvin Hayden.
Edit: Oh, and the Ravens losing Gregg to the Chefs is pretty big too.

Curious about Gaither, still. If it's not an ongoing issue would like to sign him on he cheap and roll the dice.
Plax to Jets.

3 million guaranteed...to a guy that's been in lockup for almost two years...in a lockout shortened season?
No OTAs.
No offseason training.
No time to get up to speed.
No thanks.
Shit, I'd rather SING TURRIBLE HOWENS to a one year deal for less than half that.

Ronnie Brown SINGS a one year deal with Eagles for a case of Gatorade and a lifetime supply of Tinactin.
Steelers are just a Mendenhall tweeked knee or ankle away from having MeMo (or one of the kids) assume starter RB duty.
Doesn't exactly instill fear in opponents from a team that wants to "get back to running the football."

Brown fits the Iggles style better, but point noted.
It's a lot to expect Redman, Memo, Dwyer, or Batch to be the feature back.

And maybe John Clay...
RB by committee.

If I were to hazard an early guess, Clay would be a very long shot for the 5
3
4-man roster. Mendy is a lock; presumably Redman makes it; they brought back MeMo but not having seen the deal, I wouldn't count on him being a lock... but would assume he makes it anyway; and if they keep a fourth I'd bet Batch over Dwyer based on early reports of poor conditioning (Dwyer) and solid blocking and receiving (Batch). Would not surprise me if we kept 3, and Batch beat out MeMo.

With or without a new CBA in place, the Plaxico Burress era will have to wait a little longer.
Burress injured an ankle while working out with receiver Santonio Holmes away from the Jets facility.
LSHTPICOMN!
Yeah, "working out."
