Interesting note in today's
USA Today
.
Since LeBeau returned to be Pittsburgh's defensive coordinator in 2004, Pittsburgh is 11-1 against rookie QBs.
Lock. It. Up.

You know, I'm not quite sure.
Was checking off the usual suspects in my head -- Flacco, Palmer, Sanchez, Rivers...can't come up with who did it. Will have to look it up.

LOL.
Andrew fucking Walter.
He was 5 of 14 for 51 yards with no TDs and 1 pick. That's almost as bad as Maddox' game against the Texans back in '03 or whenever the hell it was. That was a horrific loss though. Walter played like garbage, but escaped with a win.
Great trivia question.

They are now 12-1 with beating Gabbert.
I thought the only loss was against Troy Smith (Ravens) in the last game of '07 when a lot of starters were rested.

You got me curious there. It was another (nearly) Halloween Horror on 10-29-2006. That woulda been Cowher's last season.

Ben tossed 4 INTs! Both the Raiders and the Steelers were 2-5 after the game.

You are correct about the loss to Troy Smith, sir. Guess that makes it two losses.
Looks like
USA Today
is slightly off. Somebody e-mail those clowns and tell 'em to get their facts straight!
So, did they just miss that game started by Smith or did they inadvertently give them a win when it shoulda been a loss?
Either way, 11-2 or 12-2, I like those odds. That's a trend I'll follow. I will say though, Dalton might be one of the best, if not the best, rookie QB they've faced in that timeframe. I've watched chunks of several of their games (*shudder*) and have to admit to being impressed with his performance. He's flying under the radar a bit because Newton is making such a big splash in Carolina. Palmer refusing to play when he was there might end up being the best thing to happen to that team in awhile; might've even saved Lewis' job too.

Wow, 14-0 in the 1st quarter with 2 3-and-outs for the Bengals. Unexpected but it's early, the Steelers have jumped out to nice leads before ...

Not sure why Troy didn't jump there.
