After seeing how both coordinators and HC rose to meet the Patriots challenge, only to fuck up the following week against the Schizo-Rat-Clusterfux, I was actually glad not to have this game televised. And had no inclination to go to a bar to catch it. Checked on the score updates and spent the day working outside. Have to say I was surprised we went up 14-0, less surprised we let that shit slip away.
What have we learned? We've learned that the coaches don't seem to learn. And at least 2/3 of them are smart guys. Why do we keep falling back into the same stupid patterns of offensive playcalling, letting teams come back on us, etc.? I thought I was gonna have a fucking stroke after that Ratty fiasco.
Seriously: this team makes me drink a lot.

I think it's a problem that's inherent in the species.

Penso will never learn.

While I am unimpeachably intelligent, unforgivably handsome, and disarmingly humble, I feel it would be unfair to saddle me with the future of the race by bestowing the nickname, "The Species".
However, I accept.

The decision to bestow Penso the title of future of the race was not undertaken lightly.
It was done after careful consideration of impending doom at the hands of a rogue planet. Penso can be king of the world for a day, or five.

Maybe as a first order of business, The Species can learn how to avoid inadvertently locking threads. I think a more apro pos moniker would be "Thread Killer."
